Commission's views on Brexit and supplies of goods

The European Commission Directorate-General Taxation and Customs Union (TAXUD) has published ‘EU Notice to Stakeholders: Withdrawal of the United Kingdom and EU rules in the field of Value Added Tax (VAT) for goods’, which sets out TAXUD’s views on the VAT treatment of supplies of goods between Great Britain, Northern Ireland and the EU once the Brexit transitional period ends on 31 December 2020. It also sets out TAXUD’s views on the VAT treatment of supplies which straddle the end of the transitional period.
